Cat "Catios"

Catio: An enclosed space or patio for cats. The New York Times recently published a story about the recent popularity of catios in NYC. Not only do these spaces make cats happy, but in the city they help keep pests like pigeons away.

Some businesses have actually been built on the popularity of catios, including Kittywalk Systems which sells modular cat enclosures that resemble large versions of the Habitrail systems for hamsters.

One cat therapist added that a catio can be therapeutic, recommending them to clients who struggle with “inner-cat hostility.” read ny times story

chairman meowChairman Meow Says: Outdoor space for the kitteh iz very good. These catios should be standard on all apartments in New York, and other world cities. Catio can be good for kitteh to meditate, away from distractions of restless humans of New York City. Like cat therapist, Chairman Meow recommend catios for all kittehs.

Excellent spaces!

I have a friend with 20+ cats in his home, and he has actually built a suspended tube from his house to a catio outside… a kind of I-95 of cats flowing constantly.

A humbly submitted question for Dear Leader:
At what point does the number of cats one owns become “insane?” Is it a concrete number? Is there such a thing as a “crazy cat lady?”, or is this just propaganda spread by those who would have less cats in the world?

Please do not rush to answer, I know your time is precious, especially with the upcoming Kim Jong Il match, not that you need to practice or anything, because of obvious infallibility… oh please forgive me for my insolence!
